BriefSync Refund Policy
Effective date: November 1st, 2026 Last updated: November 6th, 2026
This Refund Policy applies to purchases of BriefSync, a service operated by Okzou Inc. ("Okzou", "we" or "us"). It forms part of the BriefSync Terms and Conditions.
1. How BriefSync is sold
Self-Serve Plans are sold through Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle processes payments, issues receipts and handles taxes for these purchases.
Custom Plans are sold and invoiced directly by Okzou under an order form or written agreement.
2. No refunds or credits
All payments are final. We do not offer refunds or Paddle credit, including for:
partially used billing cycles;
unused seats, features or usage allowances;
cancellations made partway through a billing cycle;
downgrades; or
periods in which you did not use the Service.
Our 14-day free trial, which requires no payment method, lets you evaluate BriefSync before you pay.
3. Cancellation
You can cancel a Self-Serve Plan at any time from your Workspace's billing settings. When you cancel:
your plan will not renew, and you will not be charged again;
you keep full access to your Workspace until the end of your current billing cycle; and
no refund or credit is issued for the remainder of that cycle.
4. Upgrades
Self-Serve Plan to a higher Self-Serve Plan, including a switch from monthly to yearly billing: the change takes effect immediately. Paddle automatically calculates a prorated credit for the unused portion of your current billing cycle and applies it to the charge for the new plan. This credit is applied only to that upgrade charge and is never paid out in cash.
Self-Serve Plan to a Custom Plan: the unused portion of your current Self-Serve billing cycle is applied as a discount on your first Custom Plan invoice from Okzou.
5. Downgrades
Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. You keep your current plan until then, and no refund or credit is issued for the difference in price.
6. Custom Plans
Custom Plans are governed by their order form. Unless the order form expressly says otherwise, Custom Plan fees are non-refundable.
7. Exceptions
Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under applicable law. For example, some jurisdictions give a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase. Where the law requires a refund, one will be provided. For Self-Serve Plans, Paddle, as Merchant of Record, may also issue refunds at its own discretion under its Buyer Terms and Refund Policy.
8. Questions and billing support
For Self-Serve Plans, receipts and payment questions, you can contact Paddle through the link in your Paddle receipt email or at paddle.net.
For anything else, including Custom Plans, email us at info@okzou.ca.
